This restaurant comes highly recommended, it has won various awards including some 'chef of the year' award, (not sure which one).

We started with popadoms and pickle, but instead of the usual pickle tray we got a dish piled high with onion. The onion was coated in a mint dressing which was fabulous.

We ordered onion bhajis for the starter which came about a minute after the popadoms so they were obviously microwaved. They weren't as crispy as I like but they were tasty non the less and had a bite to them.

For the main course we had tandoori king prawn bhuna, balti prawn and chana with pilau rice and a garlic naan.

Both prawn dishes were very nice as was the rice. The naan was too thick and a consequence was a bit doughy.

The food was served in the metal dishes rather than on plates, although you could have a plate if you asked for one.

It was busy at 8:00 on a Friday night so it is popular and does have a regular clientele.

The restaurant isn't licensed so you have to take your own booze.

Overall rating, I am only going to give it 7/10 at the moment as we have previously tried a take away from here because we had heard it was so good but I am afraid it was vile. It has taken us over 12 months to go back, friends have nagged us to go back as it must have been an off night. I will try it again based upon the latest meal and see if it the bad meal was just a one off.

Price £16 for two but that doesn't include drinks.
