Vakas Balti64 Windmill Hill This restaurant comes highly recommended, it has won various awards including some
'chef of the year' award, (not sure which one). We ordered onion bhajis for the starter which came about a minute after the popadoms so they were obviously microwaved. They weren't as crispy as I like but they were tasty non the less and had a bite to them. For the main course we had tandoori king prawn bhuna, balti prawn and chana with pilau rice and a garlic naan. Both prawn dishes were very nice as was the rice. The naan was too thick and a consequence was a bit doughy. The food was served in the metal dishes rather than on plates, although you could have a plate if you asked for one. It was busy at 8:00 on a Friday night so it is popular and does have a regular
clientele. |
