Nice Birdie - You Play Golf Leave The Rest to Us

Dick Willett's Restaurant

The Toft,
Toft Rd
Knutsford
Cheshire
WA16 9EH
Tel: 01565 634443

We should point out that this is a totally Vegetarian (Non Smoking) Resteraunt.

We decided to go to Dick Willett's as a joint Birthday celebration. As we had been there before we thought it would be nice to go back and we weren't disappointed.

For starters we had

  • Soup of the Day (Mushroom & Sweetcorn) which is 'Belly Bostin'
  • Wine and Nut Pate which was lovley
  • Chick Pea (something or other, can't remember exacktly how it was described) which was quite spicy but nice
  • Potato and lovage Fritata, herby and flavoursome

For main course we had:

  • Buritto Feritto, only for a very healthy appetite, this a Stuffed tortilla with everything on the side such as guacamole and salsa
  • Dick's Crepe which is stuffed with exotic mushrooms in a rich sauce
  • Courgette and Ricotta in filo pastry, Creamy inside, crispy outside in a tasty tomato sauce

For dessert we had:

  • White chocolate terrine, mmmmmmmmm
  • Nectarine coracles, swimming in sauce
  • Lime and pistachio ice cream (loaded with nuts), very refereshing
  • Sticky toffee pudding, a belly full

We also had various drinks such as Erdinger wheat beer, Passion fruit seltzer, Appletize and a nice bottle of Chianti

At the end you get Coffee and Uncle Joe's Mint Balls (loads)

The meals are a set £21.50 per head plus drinks which isn't cheap, so the over all bill for five people was £147.

It's not a cheap night out but you are paying for quality and the decor which is smart rustic and a very friendly service.

Overall highly recommended .
