La BraseriaLa Braseria Tel.: 04 93 34 35 73 27th August 2001 Our first meal in Antibes on our holiday, Marg was still lacking appetite because of the heat. However, one of her favourites was on the menu so she was looking forward to a Milanese: a breaded veal steak served with spaghetti. I opted for the seafood menu. Marg was very disappointed with the Milanese: she was sure it couldn't be veal - at least not good veal. But she was to be even more disappointed with the spaghetti, which would have still satisfied her. Unfortunately, the sauce was flavoured with herbs we don't normally use - Oregano and something else. Now, we can't really mark them down for this - it is a matter of taste, and in other circumstances, we should have complained about the veal, and asked for a substitute for the spaghetti. However, we were tired, and Marg really couldn't face any more anyway. My seafood was unremarkable, but, given the total bill, including aperitifs, wine and one dessert was 346FF (£33.70), it wasn't a complete flop. Not Recommended Sandro
