This is a slight cheat as we have not actually visited the Bombay Brasserie.
However, we felt that we must add an entry to our review section on the basis of
an excellent demonstration of Kashmiri cooking, by chef Mohammed Ilyas at the
European Ethnic Food Show 2000, held at the NEC in Birmingham in June.

Mohammed Ilyas did a wonderful exhibition of Kashmiri cooking with a Bombay
lamb curry, mixed vegetables and lamb chop fried rice.
We sampled the results afterwards and we were most impressed. The lamb curry
was fresh and pungently flavoured, the mixed vegetables were cooked to
perfection and the rice was probably amongst the best I have ever tasted.
If the food prepared by Mohammed is typical of what is served in the Bombay
Brasserie then it would be first on my list of restaurants to try the next time
I visit Bradford.
The recipes for the lamb curry and the mixed vegetables are included in our
recipe section. See the links at the side of this page. These appear by kind
permission of the Bombay Brasserie.
What also made this demonstration memorable to Sandro and myself was the
excellent commentary by Mohammed as he was preparing the meals.
