Best Chippy in UK Fries up Oysters in a Bid to get its Customers in the Mood for Love on Valentine's Day
The UK's best fish and chip shop in 2002, Brownsover Fish Bar in Rugby, will be serving up battered oysters to its customers on Valentine's Day. The
romantic owners, Andy and Yasmin Thrasyvoulou will also be adding a splash of champagne to the batter of the nation's favourite dish - fish and chips.

Andy Thrasyvoulou said, "My wife and I believe that fish and chips are the ultimate romantic meal, they're ideal for sharing with your loved one and I also met my wife in a fish and chip shop. But for Valentines Day we thought we would give our customers an extra special treat by serving up some oysters too as they're the original recipe for love." Customers of the Brownsover Fish Bar will be able to buy a pair of oysters for the bargain price of £1.00 but there'll be no extra cost for the champagne in the battered fish. Research carried out by Taylor Nelson Sofres on behalf of the Sea Fish Industry Authority who organise the Fish & Chip Shop of the Year Competition shows that the public would most like to feed oysters to Jennifer Lopez (the males) and Robbie Williams (the females).
